It is my honour and pleasure to extend a warm welcome to you all for the 10th Asia-Pacific Gastroesophageal Cancer Congress, held in conjunction with the Singapore Gastric Cancer Consortium’s 15th Annual Scientific Meeting. This congress will take place in Singapore from the 10th to the 12th of July 2024.
Asia-Pacific Gastroesophageal Cancer Congress (APGCC) was first started in Singapore in 2004. Since then, it has been the biennial congress brings together gastric cancer surgeons, gastroenterologists, oncologists, and scientists, to share invaluable experiences and latest research in gastroesophageal cancers. It was hosted previously in Malaysia, Hong Kong, Korea, Vietnam, India, China and Australia with great success.
This year, the APGCC joins forces with the Singapore Gastric Cancer Consortium (SGCC), a translational research group dedicated to enhancing outcomes for gastric cancer patients. The synergy created by this collaboration is poised to elevate our understanding and treatment of gastroesophageal cancers.
The Scientific Programme is meticulously crafted to showcase the latest advancements in key areas, including basic science, endoscopic and surgical treatment, clinical trials, and therapeutics. Specific focuses will include the microbiome, advances in epigenomics, applications of artificial intelligence (AI), immunotherapy and novel therapy, conversion surgery, peritoneal metastasis, and advances in robotic surgery. We have invited world-renowned researchers and clinicians, to share their experiences, spark collaborations, and contribute to groundbreaking advancements in the field. There will be free paper presentation during the conference and travel grants will be available for our young colleagues.
