Biosketch

Dr. Li also has many other academic positions including the president of Chinese Laparoscopic Gastrointestinal Surgery Group (CLASS) and PI of CLASS 01 Trial, vice chairman of the committee of Minimally Invasive Surgery of Chinese Medical Doctor Association and other national or regional academic positions.

Dr. Li’s current research interest centers on minimally invasive surgical anatomy and gastric cancer translational clinical research. Because of his remarkable contribution in establishing surgical standard, education and promotion of gastrointestinal minimally invasive surgery, he won the first prize of Guangdong provincial science and technology award in 2014 and the 13th Guangdong Ding Ying Science and Technology Awards in 2016.

Dr. Li has been invited to give more than 300 Live Operation Demonstration domestically and over 50 international lectures on laparoscopic gastric surgery and clinical research with over 100 SCI publications, including the works published in Journal of Clinical Oncology, Annals of Surgery, JAMA surgery, Journal of The American College of Surgeons (JACS), Clinical cancer research and et
