Biosketch

Dr Jonathan Lee is a consultant specialising in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the National University Hospital, Singapore, and an Assistant Professor at NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. He currently serves as the director of research for the Gastroenterology and Hepatology division. Dr Lee completed a two-year full-time overseas NRMC research training fellowship (2019-2021) at the MIT-Harvard Broad Institute, USA, under Prof Ramnik Xavier, focusing on microbiome multi-omics. Dr Jonathan Lee is keenly interested in translational microbiome medicine and drives the clinical service of faecal microbiota transplants at the National University Hospital, Singapore. His research interest is in studying the role of microbiome associated with gastrointestinal diseases, whereby he previously used microbial metagenomics to prognosticate patients with inflammatory bowel disease and colorectal adenomatous polyps. He is a principal investigator at the Institute of Health Innovation and Technology (iHealthtech), NUS, leading translational microbiome research.
